Tiers La Familia was started by no-disciplinary artist Sef Sidney of Flushing, Queens in 2021. TLF works quickly: Sidney released two debut tapes of lo-fi electronics and madcap punk in 2022. The following year, Sidney was joined by Jeff Tobias (Sunwatchers, Modern Nature) and Cheryl L. Kingan (75 Dollar Bill, The Scene Is Now) for positive and danceable live shows all over New York.

‍"Living Wage" is a pay-what-you-want 'double A-side', as well as Tiers La Familia's third release in as many years. Appearing for the first time on a TLF recording is the live band, consisting of bandleader Sef Sidney, Cheryl Kingan (75 Dollar Bill, The Scene Is Now), and Jeff Tobias (Sunwatchers, Modern Nature). The "A side" is their much-loved new arrangement of "My Living Wage," developed at their 2023 New York shows. It's followed by the other "A side," a celebratory remix of set mainstay "Deep Fake Nine" by Baltimore legend Height Keech, who slickly accents TLF's permeability with other active couture. Artwork was handled by Seth Graham (More Eaze, Orange Milk Records).
